Girl Talk with God – book review

Susie Shellenberger’s new book “Girl Talk with God” is an easy, conversational book to read.  It is geared for teen girls who are wanting to “talk” with God about questions they have.  Shellenberger tackles the topics of absolute truth, modesty, boyfriends, social media, God’s love, and many more.  The chapters are laid out as if God were speaking directly with each girl in a conversation.  At times, it is a bit disconcerting trying to figure out where the conversation is headed, as often it is when a girls are talking and get sidetracked. 🙂

Overall, the book was a great resource for teen girls facing challenges with their peers and discovering the truth of their own faith as a Christ-Follower.  I would highly recommend it for the teen girl who is beginning to question the cultural differences between what the Bible teaches an what the world teaches.
